When the beat of the heart is at the pulse of passion and drum roll, you have the beats—you have music! Let me introduce to you, William Cleveland Lockwood II (aka Cleve). Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where his parents discovered his gift and love of music at an early age. Perhaps the beat of the steel pots, wood furniture and more inspired them to purchase Cleve's first drum set at the age of five. Clearly he began walking to the sound of the drum that cultivated into a love of jazz music during middle school and high school. By 1995, Cleve's senior year, he won numerous IAJE Awards for outstanding musicianship and a scholarship nod to Berkley Music Conservatory that was declined to pursue a career at Eristopher in 1996, a well-known music production company. The decision to embark on the world of producing records with the notable greats such as Clive Davis, Davis Foster, Diane Warren, Toni Braxton, Tyrese and soundtracks such as Dr. DoLittle 2, Boat Trip, Double Take, Deborah Cox with Billboard #1 and two gold albums under his belt was a dream come true. And so the beat goes on…. Cleve marches to the beat of a different drum—talk about step to the music—he's a go-getter in the industry with a strong desire to make the notes come into play! In 2002, a brand management company called my Muze Inc. was developed with managing partners. Immediately, creative mega-brands were birthed through our company with scores topping the charts while developing brand initiatives for Nelson Mandela, Apple, DELL, Disney, Fox, HBO, Memorex, NASCAR's Dale Earnhardt Inc., Nike, Sony Music, Sports Illustrated, Subway, Target, Time Warner, Universal Music and Yahoo…just to name a few.
